South Coast
Youth Band

The South Coast Youth Band is an elementary band program for students in grades 4-6. The band is open to beginners through advanced students from Gaviota to Carpinteria.

The South Coast Youth Band is an after-school music program that provides fun band experiences and quality instruction for elementary school students in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades.

Performances include holiday parades, winter and spring concerts, and collaborations with local junior high school music programs.

The band is directed by Nancy Mathison and staffed by a host of professional musicians.

Beginners are welcome!
Students rehearse weekly throughout the school year and receive instruction on their instruments from professional musicians.
